Annual Creative Dementia Arts Network Conferences
CDAN aims to promote the health and well-being of people living with dementia through the arts. Our annual conference offers everyone with an interest in arts and dementia the opportunity to learn about best practice and to come away inspired.
The conferences will be of particular interest to people with dementia and their carers, artists, musicians, dancers, actors, poets, and staff and volunteers working for arts organisations, museums, galleries, libraries, theatres, local authority social services, the NHS, housing associations, care homes, nursing homes, academics, researchers, students and those working in government agencies and departments.
CDAN was set up in 2011. Our online hub offers knowledge and resources for providers and commissioners and we carry out research, evaluation, training, practice development and consultancy in arts and dementia. We are set to become a charity and grow the network, connect creative practitioners with other providers and commissioners of arts for people with dementia and their carers, besides advocating nationally to raise awareness of using arts to help people live well with dementia.
